1800′s GLASS SWAN PERFUME BOTTLE by THOMAS WEBB Picture(s) and Description:
This is an antique Art Nouveau swan's head glass perfume bottle from the 1800's. It was probably made by Thomas Webb and Sons Co., and the silver top is signed by G. Keller. The top is silver plate with a brass bottom. It has a cork lining inside. You twist the top and then you flip it open. Same way to close it. It measures 9" long and 2" wide and it comes with a dark wood display stand. It has incredible detail, and it was very hard to try to capture the details with my camera. The duck's feathers are individually molded into the glass, and the bird's eyes are amazing. The beak is long and golden colored, with an Art Nouveau design to it. I was told by an expert collector from the International Perfume Bottle Association that this scent bottle would bring thousands of dollars at an auction. I am selling this piece for the mother of a friend who needs the money. This is an amazing item, and should be in a museum, but I am selling it here with NO RESERVE!!On Sep-15-10 at 16:59:40 PDT, seller added the following information: I just had a note from a fellow Ebayer and she said this piece is called an English Cameo Glass Scent Bottle. I also forgot to mention in the above item description that it is in perfect condition with no cracks or chips or damage of any kind,
