Antique Flemish painting from the second half of the 17th century

Antique Flemish painting from the late 17th century. Artwork oil on panel depicting what would appear to be a typical interior scene. In reality, the painting alludes to the myth of Vertumnus and Pomona: a deity turned into an old woman to approach Pomona, the Roman goddess of fruit. Painting full of decorative and symbolic elements, sculptures and fruit, of great pleasure. Painting signed lower left, difficult to decipher and not photographable, probably attributable to the painter Karel De Moor (1655-1738), without authentication. Wooden frame not coeval, from the 20th century, carved and gilded (bronze tinted) complete with wooden passe-partout (see photo). Painting that has undergone a conservative restoration and color recovery in some points (see photo), overall in good state of conservation. Sight size H 36 x W 28 cm.
