Elegant 20th century Japanese box

Particular Japanese container from the 20th century. Object in lacquered wood with very pleasant gilded metal decorations. Box composed of base and lid, supported by 6 wooden elements. Object adorned with a frontal symbol (under study). It has small diamond-shaped gilt metal ornaments, some missing (see photos). Structurally sound, lacquering with small signs of ageing. Interior covered in original paper with signs of wear. In beautiful patina, overall in a fair state of conservation.
