English bureau in inlaid wood from 19th century

English bureau from the late 19th century. Beautiful furniture carved and inlaid in oak, maple, ebonized wood and fruitwood. Bureau with two smaller parallel drawers and two large drawers at the bottom. Fall-front adorned with a central shell complete with numerous drawers and document openings inside, a central door with a working key, a sliding compartment of excellent capacity and a good-sized desk and service. Living room or studio furniture, pleasantly furnished, for antique dealers and interior designers. Handles and vents in gilded brass (not contemporary) replaced during the 20th century. It shows signs of old restoration works (see photo), structurally sound. Without keys, it is overall in good state of conservation.
