French sculpture from the mid 20th century. Gilded and patinated bronze object depicting Marly's Horse, copy of the famous marble sculpture by the sculptor Guillaume Coustou commissioned by Louis XV around the middle of the 18th century. Work resting on a marble base (not original, added over time) of considerable weight. Beautiful patina sculpture, missing bridle (see photo). Overall in good condition.
