Bas-relief signed Pietro Canonica

Italian bas-relief from the first half of the 20th century. Exceptional quality bronze work fixed on a lacquered wooden panel. Sculpture depicting the face of Christ finely chiseled in the smallest details, with an oval shape. Work that has a signature on the right (see photo) Canonica referable to the famous artist Pietro Canonica (1869-1959) lacking authentication. Object for antique dealers, interior decorators and sculpture collectors. Bas-relief (bronze) with a maximum thickness of about 4 cm, height 36 cm, width 30 cm (work size without wooden panel). In good condition and in a nice patina.
