Ancient Italian painting from the first half of the 18th century. Framework oil on canvas, on the first canvas, depicting a religious subject Christ carrying the cross and Virgin of excellent pictorial quality. Frame in wood and plaster, not contemporary, with some small drops of color (see picture) of pleasant decoration. Painting of great measure and impact, for antique dealers, interior decorators and collectors of ancient sacred art. Canvas that has undergone some conservative restoration over time, replacement of the frame and addition of rear patches due to tears (see picture). A more evident tear is on the left near the shoulder of the Christ (see picture).
