Great still life with game from the 17th century

Stunning 17th century English painting. Artwork oil on canvas depicting Still life with hare, rooster and rifle of excellent pictorial quality. Artwork of great size and impact adorned with a modern frame, in wood and plaster, carved and gilded (bronze tint). Excellent quality painting, the painter is good at meticulously painting the game, the rifle and the flowers placed in the upper left part (see photo). The landscape in the background on the right is beautiful, where you can see a fountain, sculptures and a classic-style villa. Note the detail of the hunting knife with horn handle (see photo) placed by the painter in the lower centre. Fabulous painting for antique dealers, decorators and collectors of ancient still lifes. It underwent a conservative restoration, relining, replacement of the frame and color recovery in some places (see photo). Overall painting in good state of conservation. Sight size H 112 x W 88 cm.
