Antique Italian painting from the 17th century. Oil on canvas artwork of the Neapolitan school depicting Bacchanal of cherubs of excellent pictorial quality. Painting of great size and impact adorned with a modern lacquered, gilded and painted wooden frame with floral decorations. The quality of the complexion is remarkable which, thanks to the use of chiaroscuro, gives volume and plasticity to the characters (see photo). A cherub slips away with the bowl containing wine on the left, the central cherub leans towards him while the one on the right is portrayed in the gesture of picking a bunch of grapes next to a goat. Painting of great pleasure and joy, easy setting. Painting that has undergone a conservative restoration, relining, replacement of the stretcher and color recovery in some places (see photo). Artwork in good condition. Sight size H 85 x W 115 cm.
