Antique 17th century painting, Allegory of the enemies of the faith

Antique Flemish painting from the 17th century. Artwork oil on panel depicting a religious subject, the Allegory of the enemies of the faith, of good pictorial quality. Painting of great size and impact adorned with a modern frame, in wood and plaster, carved and gilded. Painting that develops horizontally where the Christian faith is depicted in the center, surrounded by its enemies and temptations. In fact, in the lower left part we find an angel with diabolical features that represents the devil himself or in any case the temptations of the soul. On the right, however, an attractive woman laden with jewels and riches represents the world and earthly temptations. Top left a skeleton tending a bow to symbolize death itself. Panel that has undergone an intense conservative restoration, wooden supports to the panel (visible on the back) and color recovery in various points (see photo). Ideal artwork to be placed in a living room or studio, for antique dealers and collectors. In good condition with some signs of the restoration. Sight size H 96 x W 116 cm.
