Painting of pleasant perspective and good dynamism expertly painted with an excellent use of light. The animals are of great quality and the farrier in the foreground, painted in the dim light, in the act of fixing the shoes to a horse with his assistant. Painting that has undergone a conservative restoration, relining, replacement of the frame and color recovery in some points (see photo).
