Great 18th century painting, The Allegory of Winter by Pietro Bardellino

Antique Italian painting from the second half of the 18th century. Artwork oil on canvas depicting an Allegory of winter of excellent pictorial quality. Painting of good size and pleasant decor adorned with a non-coeval, carved and gilded wooden frame. Painting that depicts, in a frozen and snowy landscape, an allegory of winter with a pensive man warming himself by the fire, a sleeping child, a dog and another man carrying a bundle of wood. Painting attributed to Pietro Bardellino (1728-1810) accompanied by documentation signed by Dr. Arabella Cifani, famous historian and art expert (see photo). Painting that has undergone a conservative restoration, re-lined, replacement of the frame and color recovery in some points (see photo). In good condition. Sight size H 122 x W 120 cm.
